Our terms and conditions
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10.06.2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made with The Celebration Edit.
By making a booking, paying a deposit, confirming an event date, or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Please read them carefully before booking.
- Business Details
The Celebration Edit provides styled room-based celebration experiences, including baby showers, gender reveals, private parties and small celebrations.

Email: contact@thecelebrationedit.co.uk
Address: Unit 2, The Oast, Evegate Artisan Business Park, Ashford, TN25 6SX
- Bookings
All bookings are enquiry-first.
Submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking. A booking is only confirmed once availability has been checked, the event details have been agreed, and the required deposit has been received.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking where the requested event, guest number, styling, timing or requirements are not suitable for the room, venue, business or package.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware of any relevant rules, access details, timing restrictions and safety requirements.
- Deposit
A 30% deposit is required to reserve your chosen event date and time.
Your date is not secured until the deposit has been received.
The deposit is non-refundable, except where a legal cooling-off right applies or where we are legally required to refund it.
The deposit secures your date, removes the slot from availability, and allows us to begin planning, preparing, sourcing and arranging your celebration.
- Cooling-Off Period
Where a booking is made online, by email, by phone, or otherwise away from our business premises, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the booking being confirmed.
If you wish to cancel within this cooling-off period, you must contact us in writing at:
contact@thecelebrationedit.co.uk
If your event is due to take place within the 14-day cooling-off period, or if you ask us to begin work, sourcing, ordering, preparation, supplier booking, personalisation or custom styling before the cooling-off period ends, you may still be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred.
Personalised, custom, bespoke or supplier-ordered items may not be refundable once ordered, prepared or confirmed.
- Final Balance
The final balance is due no later than 14 days before the event date.
If the final balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit. Any custom, personalised or supplier costs already incurred may also remain payable.
Payment may be made by bank transfer, cash, or invoice/card payment where available.
- Cancellation by the Customer
If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible.
Cancellation charges are applied to reflect the limited availability of event dates, preparation time, advance planning, supplier arrangements, stock, styling, custom items and any costs already incurred.
The following cancellation terms apply:
Cancellation more than 30 days before the event
The deposit remains non-refundable after any applicable cooling-off period.
No further balance will usually be due, unless custom, personalised, bespoke or supplier items have already been ordered, prepared or confirmed.
Cancellation 14 to 30 days before the event
Up to 50% of the total booking value may remain payable.
Any deposit already paid will be counted towards this 50% total.
For example, if your total booking value is £500 and you have paid a £150 deposit, a further amount of up to £100 may remain payable, bringing the total retained/payable amount to 50% of the booking value.
Custom, personalised, bespoke or supplier items already ordered, prepared or confirmed may also remain payable.
Cancellation less than 14 days before the event
100% of the total booking value remains payable.
This is because, by this stage, the room, styling, suppliers, stock, food, drinks, preparation, staffing, time and event details may already have been arranged.
- Date Transfers
Your deposit may be transferred once to a new available date, provided we receive at least 1 month’s written notice before your original event date.
Date transfers are subject to availability.
The new event date must take place within 12 months of the original event date. If the transferred booking is not used within this period, the deposit will be deemed forfeited.
A transferred booking must be for a booking of equal or greater value. Any increase in package price, guest numbers, styling, food, drink, add-ons or supplier costs must be paid before the event.
If less than 1 month’s notice is given, the deposit cannot usually be transferred and a new deposit may be required for a new booking.
- Guest Numbers
Guest numbers must be confirmed no later than 30 days before the event date.
Guest number reductions must be confirmed at least 30 days before the event. For reductions requested less than 30 days before the event, we reserve the right to maintain the booking at the original agreed guest number.
This is because costs may already have been incurred for your celebration, including styling, food, drinks, tableware, games, supplier items, personalised details and preparation time.
Guest number increases may be accepted up to 14 days before the event, subject to room capacity, package inclusions, supplier availability and payment.
Additional guests are charged from £20 per person, subject to the package and inclusions selected.
The maximum number we can handle in the room is 24 guests, but this is not a standard package size and must be agreed in advance.
Babies do not count as guests. Children do count as guests.
- Room Hire Time and Access
Standard room hire is 3–4 hours, depending on the package and booking details agreed.
Guests are not permitted to enter the room before the booked room hire start time.
Setup may still be taking place before the booking begins, so early guest access is not available unless agreed in writing.
The booking organiser may be allowed to drop off approved items before the event time while staff are on site preparing the room. This must be agreed in advance. No other guests are permitted to enter the room before the event start time.
Guests may gather in the large car park before the event begins.
All guests must leave the room by the agreed finish time. Extra time may be available by prior agreement and may be charged separately.
- Location and Accessibility
The Celebration Edit is based at:
Unit 2, The Oast
Evegate Artisan Business Park
Ashford
TN25 6SX
The celebration room is located upstairs and is accessed via an outdoor spiral staircase.
Because of this, the room is not suitable for wheelchair access or pram access.
There are two toilets available on site, along with kitchen facilities including a sink, wash basin, fridge, freezer and kettle.
It is the booking organiser’s responsibility to ensure that guests are aware of the access arrangements before attending.
- Styled Room Service
The Celebration Edit provides a styled room experience.
This means we prepare and style the room before your arrival and clear down afterwards.
The event itself is not a fully hosted party unless specifically agreed in writing. Guests are responsible for enjoying the room safely, using the space respectfully, and following these Terms.
The level of styling depends on the package selected.
- Food, Drinks and Cake
Food and drink inclusions depend on the package and add-ons selected.
Cupcakes are outsourced through a partner.
Grazing tables or grazing boards are arranged through an external partner where included or added.
Mocktails are self-service.
Customers may bring their own cake, provided we are informed in advance. We can lay out a cake stand or style a cake table where agreed.
Customers may bring their own food with prior agreement.
Any food or drink brought by customers remains the customer’s sole responsibility, including storage, serving, allergens, suitability, safety and consumption.
A small fridge may be available for customer use during the room hire period, subject to available space. We do not accept responsibility for food or drink stored in the fridge.
All leftover customer-brought food and drink must be taken away at the end of the event. Any food or drink left behind may be disposed of after the event.
Allergen information can be provided for food and drink items arranged by us or our suppliers. We are not responsible for allergen information, suitability or safety of food, drink or cake brought by customers or guests.
- Alcohol
The Celebration Edit does not sell, supply or serve alcohol.
Customers may request permission to bring their own alcohol, but this must be agreed in writing before the event and remains subject to venue rules, responsible consumption and our right to refuse.
Alcohol must not be consumed by anyone under the age of 18.
The booking organiser is responsible for ensuring that any alcohol brought by guests is consumed responsibly and lawfully.
We reserve the right to refuse alcohol on site, ask for alcohol consumption to stop, or end the event if behaviour becomes unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive, unlawful or harmful to the room, guests, staff, venue or business.
Alcohol is not included in any package.

- Custom Styling and Personalised Items
Custom styling requires at least 2 weeks’ notice and may be quoted separately.
Custom signs, personalised games, personalised teddy bears, bespoke decorations, special-order items, supplier items and personalised products are non-refundable once ordered, prepared or confirmed.
If a customer cancels a booking and custom, personalised, bespoke or supplier items have already been ordered, prepared or confirmed, the cost of these items may be deducted from any refund due or remain payable.
- Substitutions
We make every effort to provide the items, styling and products agreed as part of your package.
However, some items may be subject to availability, supplier changes, stock limitations, seasonal availability or circumstances outside our control.
Where an item is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with a suitable alternative of equal or greater value, while keeping the overall style and purpose of the booking as close as reasonably possible.
- Children and Supervision
Children are welcome where suitable for the event, but they remain the sole responsibility of their parent, guardian or responsible adult at all times.
Children must be supervised throughout the event.
Children must not climb on furniture, stairs, props, balloon frames, displays, tables, chairs, windowsills or styling structures.
Children must not play with, damage, move or dismantle room decor, props, displays, equipment, tableware or styling items.
The booking organiser is responsible for any damage, injury, disruption or additional cleaning caused by children attending the event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
- Damage, Breakages and Excessive Mess
The booking organiser is responsible for ensuring that guests treat the room, furniture, decorations, props, equipment, tableware and venue respectfully.
Charges may apply for:
- Broken or damaged tableware
- Damaged decor or props
- Missing items
- Damage to furniture, walls, floors, windows, doors or fixtures
- Stains
- Excessive mess
- Excessive waste
- Specialist cleaning
- Additional waste disposal
- Damage caused by prohibited items

If a party leaves a considerable amount of mess beyond normal use of the room, an additional cleaning, waste removal or disposal charge may be added.
We reserve the right to invoice the booking organiser for repair, replacement, specialist cleaning, excess waste disposal or other reasonable costs caused by damage, missing items or excessive mess.
We also reserve the right to request a refundable security deposit for certain bookings, larger guest numbers, custom setups, higher-risk events or where additional protection is reasonably required.
- Items Left Behind
All personal belongings, gifts, food, drinks, decorations, cakes and customer-owned items must be removed at the end of the event.
Any items left behind may be disposed of after the event.
If we identify items that appear valuable, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the booking organiser.
Valuable items not collected within 14 days may be disposed of, donated or otherwise dealt with at our discretion.
We are not responsible for items left behind, lost, misplaced, damaged or removed by guests.
- Photography and Marketing
Photographs of the styled room may be taken as standard before, during or after the event.
These images may be used by The Celebration Edit for marketing, website, social media, portfolio, advertising or promotional purposes.
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that personal details are not shown publicly, or that they are edited out before use. This may include names, dates, private messages, addresses or other personal information visible within the room styling.
Our standard approach is to photograph the styled room and setup, not guests.
If customers do not want photographs of the styled room to be used for marketing, they must notify us in writing before the event by emailing:
contact@thecelebrationedit.co.uk
People, guests or children will not knowingly be used in public promotional content without appropriate permission.
- Customer Conduct
The booking organiser is responsible for the behaviour of all guests attending the event.
Guests must behave respectfully towards the room, venue, staff, suppliers, other businesses on site and other guests.
We reserve the right to end the event early, refuse access, remove guests or contact appropriate authorities if behaviour is unsafe, abusive, threatening, disruptive, unlawful, damaging or inappropriate.
No refund will be given where an event is ended early due to guest behaviour, prohibited items, unsafe conduct, unauthorised alcohol use, damage, excessive mess or breach of these Terms.
- Complaints and Issues During the Event
If there is an issue with the room, styling, food, drinks, setup or any other part of the booking, customers should raise it with us during the event where reasonably possible.
This gives us the opportunity to investigate and try to remedy the issue at the time.
Any formal complaint must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the event.
Complaints submitted after this period may be harder to investigate and may not be considered unless there is a valid reason for the delay.
- Force Majeure and Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for failure or delay in providing services where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Fire, flood or damage to the venue
- Power failure
- Water failure
- Illness
- Supplier failure
- Road closures
- Transport disruption
- Emergency closure
- Government restrictions
- Acts of God
- Accidents
- Safety risks
- Any other event outside our reasonable control
Where possible, we will try to offer a suitable alternative, date transfer, substitution or partial remedy depending on the circumstances.
We are not responsible for losses, costs or expenses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to the above, The Celebration Edit is not responsible for:
- Customer-brought food, drink or cake
- Allergens relating to customer-brought items
- Customer or guest belongings

- Children who are not properly supervised
- Alcohol brought by customers or guests
- Prohibited items brought by customers or guests
- Losses caused by customer or guest behaviour
- Indirect losses, loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity or consequential losses
The booking organiser is responsible for ensuring that the event is suitable for their guests and that guests are aware of access arrangements, safety rules and relevant terms.
- Changes to Packages, Prices and Services
We may update our packages, pricing, add-ons, styling options, services, suppliers or inclusions from time to time.
Confirmed bookings will be honoured based on the agreed package and price at the time of booking, unless changes are requested by the customer or circumstances outside our control require reasonable substitutions.
Any additional guests, add-ons, custom styling, supplier items or changes requested after booking may be charged separately.
- Website Information
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.
However, photographs, generated images, styling examples, descriptions and package examples are for guidance and inspiration. Actual room styling may vary depending on the package selected, stock availability, supplier availability, seasonal products, room layout and customer requirements.
Images may show example setups and may not represent every package inclusion.
